Production Artist

NEENAH, a market leader in Premium Fine Paper & Packaging, is actively searching for an experienced Production Artist to add to our Marketing Services team at our corporate headquarters in Alpharetta, GA. The Production Artist's primary responsibility will be to support Neenah’s Fine Paper and Packaging (B2B) business strategy with custom Design Solutions, including Rapid Prototyping, targeted to End Users. In addition they will implement the conceptual, stylistic design, and art direction for all printed marketing collateral, advertising, and online materials that creatively and consistently reflect Neenah’s brand Identity. Qualified candidates will have experience in producing print and packaging prototypes using a variety of Neenah substrates.

• Executes Rapid Prototyping on site using Flatbed UV Printer and Esko Cutting Table to produce packaging, POP, printed collateral, and online digital assets for customer-driven Design Solutions targeted to End Users
• Creates custom dielines using Adobe Illustrator and Artios CAD to produce prototypes on a variety of Neenah substrates including Neenah Folding Board, Box Wrap, and Paper Card
• Works with the Neenah Design Team, Marketing Group, and Internal Clients to execute a variety of design projects that spread across print, experiential, web, and interactive applications
• Collaborates with agency partners, pre-press technicians, and printers in the development of each project
• Prepares final mechanical files for prepress, drops art to print and production partners, and monitors progress of each project through to completion
• Ideal candidates would also design and program internal eblasts using HTML code on a variety of email platforms

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in graphic design or related field
• Impressive Production Skills and use of Adobe Creative Suite (required) and Artios CAD (a plus). Ideal candidate would have experience creating packaging dielines within Artios CAD for rapid prototyping
• Advanced understanding of prepress, print ready artwork, and mechanical file preparation
• Knowledge of a variety of print techniques (4 color process, PMS colors, digital printing, foil stamping, embossing, letterpressing, Spot UVs, etc)
• Familiarity with Flatbed UV Printers and Esko Cutting Tables a plus
• Ability to produce artwork in a high-volume production environment that is energetic and fluid with tight turnaround times
• A can-do attitude - daily tasks will range from print and packaging design, production work, rapid prototyping, email design and coding, as well as digital asset creation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in creating digital assets using HTML a plus, as well as a background in responsive email development and coding
• A working knowledge of web design best practices and experience working with programmers and developers
