    We are actively pursuing an intern with Safety, Environmental Science or related field of study for our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) internship program in our corporate office in Alpharetta, GA. The Intern will support EHS and loss prevention programs and will be exposed to many aspects of operations to gain experience with tracking and analyzing injury and environmental data. Key areas of focus will be developing, supporting, and enhancing injury reduction programs and sustainability-related programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Track and analyze EHS performance data such as injury rates, greenhouse gas emissions and energy, waste and water usage.
    • Assist in the development of EHS training material, standards, policy manuals
    • Perform EHS and sustainability benchmarking.
    • Analyze safety and environmental regulations.
    • Improve/enhance internal EHS website and SharePoint site
    • Support, depending on experience, other EHS department leaders in the areas of health and wellness..
    • Open to future career development opportunities within Neenah business unit locations

    Qualifications

    • Individuals must be enrolled or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science or related field
    • Student will need to have completed a minimum of 2-full years of course work with preference for individuals who have completed 3-full years.
    • Preference is a minimum 3.0 GPA in your academic field of study.
    • Ideal candidates will possess high initiative and drive, with a curiosity to perpetually learn and improve our business.
    • Key requirements include the ability to analyze information to find opportunities, effectively communicate, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
    • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations (OSHA 10 or 30-hour training a plus)
    • Knowledge and experience running with local safety or sustainability related programs
