    Neenah Filtration is actively seeking an individual who is experienced with selling technical products to join the team as an Account Executive in Appleton, WI. The Account Executive will call on, assist and educate existing business while capturing new opportunities within the North American market. This is a high-profile position requiring heavy customer/client focus and solutions selling experience to build strategies and drive sales and profitability targets for large accounts. Individuals who can identify the technical product needs for clients, have a proven track record of value add sales experience and can network within a matrixed environment, will do well.

    Job Dimensions

    • Works directly with all business units of Neenah Filtration
    • Responsible for new business development for transportation filtration
    • Coordination with key account leaders for other regions (Europe and Asia) 

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Establish and maintain relationships with key personnel at assigned accounts in purchasing, R & D and management areas
    • Grows sales by providing solutions and excellent service to the customer
    • Negotiate and resolve issues on matters relating to product performance, pricing, service, quality, etc.
    • Organize, coordinate and conduct customer sales presentation
    • Develop sales growth plans. Continually evaluate sales and open orders against budget for management of overall sales goals. Implement actions as appropriate
    • Provide reports as requested by management including: Sales Call Reports; Monthly Reports; New Business Opportunity Reports; Annual budgeting
    • Effectively utilize the broader Neenah Filtration organization to help drive sales growth. Collaborate across the organization, involving other functions such as Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Planning, Product Development, and Operations when needed to help grow business and in support of validation trials and customer trials
    • Establish and maintain relationships with Neenah global personnel to support customer base with global manufacturing locations
    • Communicates competitive developments in his/her territory regarding marketing strategies, pricing structures or product performance and communicates intelligence to management
    • Required to be proactive in maintaining appropriate knowledge base of product lines of global Neenah manufacturing competencies, along with knowledge of allied and customer industries


    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science or related disciplines required.
    • 3+ years of experience in Engineering, Technical Project or Product Management, Product Development, Product Sales, and/or Marketing preferred.
    • Strong technical background or technical application sales required.
    • Knowledge of papermaking is a plus
    • Excellent process development and process implementation skills
    • Passion for learning selling best-practices
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Strong organizational, contract negotiation, problem solving and interpersonal skills to effectively manage business growth
    • Spanish language skills are a strong preference
