Neenah Paper is actively searching for an Oracle Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Developer for our team in Neenah, WI. In this role, the BI Analyst lead role is responsible for driving strategic technology and process optimization, guidance and mentoring for all components of BI reporting and the design, development and production support for all aspects of the system development life cycle.  The position is a member of a diverse support team reporting to the Senior Manager of Application Development and Support.  Strong partnership and customer satisfaction is a key measurement of success for this position.





  • Drive optimization of business and technology processes to gain the most value from Neenah’s BI technology base. Identify and drive further automation to improve efficiency where justified.
  • Responsible for the effective use of business processes and the adoption of new technology to support the same processes.
  • Exhibit a strong partnership with the NPI (Neenah Paper) business community to ensure that Enterprise IT strategic and tactical directions are aligned with the objectives of the company and are business justified. Communicate regularly with internal customers who rely on current and accurate data to make informed decisions.
  • Assist with the support of the production Oracle BI Platform in addition to the analysis, development, deployment of customizations and extensions to the Oracle BI Platform.
  • Maintain effectiveness under high-pressure situations in order to meet expectations while managing projects and daily support simultaneously. Excel in problem solving abilities while providing timely solutions to issues and designs.
  • Manage and lead meetings with internal business clients. Effectively manage SIRS in functional areas. Facilitate meetings to prioritize open issues, SIRs and major projects. Work with the process leads to ensure the requests are given the necessary resources.
  • Strong analysis, design and troubleshooting skills. Exhibit the ability to analyze, test, implement, and provide post support for projects that improve our current systems.
  • Effectively work with Oracle, CenturyLink and other 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and maintain our Oracle environments.
  • Promote a strong team environment within IT and across business functions and departments. Provide knowledge transfer to other staff members both in IT and within the business community.
  • Serve as a key Oracle BI development resource, driving and supporting the full system development life cycle.
  • Ensure regulatory and standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Utilize strong written and oral communication skills to design and document solutions for projects and systems that can be easily followed by others. Ability to communicate professionally while staying customer focused.
  • Take action to enhance proficiency in technical aspects via ongoing training, education, and networking.
  • Demonstrate leadership by recommending enhancements and new software projects that support Neenah Paper goals and objectives.
  • Provide optimal support for existing applications and implementation of new applications by utilizing available resources in the most effective way.


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Strong technology experience in ETL development, data warehousing and data modeling.
  • Experience developing and maintaining ETL using ODI software
  • Experienced in designing, development, and implementations using OBIEE, OBIEE Analytics, and BI Answers.
  • Background and solid familiarity with development skills in SQL, PL/SQL
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in converting business requirements into functional data models.  Strong experience in Data Warehousing and OLAP technologies
  • Oracle E-Business Suite knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with OBIEE Platform and performance tuning is a plus.
