Neenah is growing and actively searching for an Electrical Engineer to oversee technical design and development of mill capital projects which are to be completed within timeline and cost parameters. Responsibilities

Safety and Quality

 

  • Supports the facility with compliance in applicable electrical codes and guidelines and coordinates associated training for trades’ staff.

 

 

Productivity and Cost

  • Prepare and manage projects to meet time, cost, quality and performance objectives that ensure continuity of a leading edge, profitable manufacturing facility.

 

Project Engineering and Cost Savings

  • Initiates and oversees development and installation of major capital projects with initial emphasis on energy cost savings projects. Hires contractors and coordinates their work with manufacturing, maintenance and other operational departments. Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design, equipment specifications and compliance with safety standards.

 

 

Equipment Reliability

  • Develop solutions to repetitive equipment failures and process losses, implementing ways of reducing the need for maintenance, and ultimately eliminating the occurrences of failures.

 

 

Maintenance

  • Research appropriate solutions and estimate timescales and costs for maintenance tasks which strive for minimizing downtime and mitigating safety concerns. Assist maintenance in diagnosing and solving production equipment problems. Provide expertise in the management of outside vendors and the design of machines for long-term production, ease of maintenance and ease of operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of maintenance/project engineering experience, equipment troubleshooting, and implementation of engineering principles
  • Knowledge of DCS, PLC and variable speed drives a distinct plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Aptitude to develop technical expertise and the ability to efficiently and accurately process a high volume of detailed workload
  • Excellent computer skills (including Excel and Word)
  • Prior experience in initiating and implementing cost savings projects a distinct plus
  • Prior experience in Lean/CI methods a distinct plus
  • Willingness to embody the Neenah culture of collaboration, challenge and support
