Neenah Paper has an exciting opportunity in Human Resources supporting the Massachusetts locations! The HR Business Partner will provide human resource leadership, support, guidance, and services to the facility and HR Team. To achieve this, the HRBP will support team development through maintaining the best talent, invest in HR capability to provide long-term, sustainable capability building programs, support the establishment of a transformational structure that is better prepared to support the growth of our business over the next 5 years, foster career development opportunities within the Human Resources function, and deliver best in class HR solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support a Culture of Continuous Improvement in Safety
    • Accountable and responsible for safety performance success and violations within their area.
    • Responsible for medical management including early return to work programs and reporting of work-related injuries to third party insurance carriers.

 

  • Support Winning the War for Talent
    • Build a strong employment brand that positions Neenah as a global employer of choice.
      • Recruit and screen qualified candidates for employment to ensure adequate staffing for effective and efficient operations. This includes placing ads in compliance with Affirmative Action efforts, composing position descriptions, developing and delivering state of the art on-boarding processes to reduce training time, and improve employee retention.
    • Defined pre-boarding and on-boarding programs to build excitement and prepare employees for success.
    • Develop diverse time based Succession plans from internal & external talent pools.
    • Support strategic placement of talent to maximize individual development and deliver business results.

    • Strategically manage Total Rewards and Employee Relations.
      • Provide guidance to the management team to minimize employee complaints.
      • Implement best practices to maintain Union-Free status at the three locations.
    • Utilize and communicate people related data in a meaningful and action oriented way.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree with a Human Resource Management emphasis plus an additional 2-4 years or more of increasing experience in a Human Resources department in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in maintaining a union-free environment is desired.

  • Possess interpersonal skills that allow the employee to successfully influence both hourly and salaried employees.
  • A high degree of confidentiality and organizational sensitivity.
  • Assertiveness in dealing with sensitive employee and leadership issues.
  • A thorough working knowledge of HR and labor laws, including but not limited to: Title VII, ADAAA, FMLA, FLSA, WARN, Massachusetts employment law, etc.)
  • Functional level math and statistics with Microsoft Office skills
