Overview

Neenah Paper is actively searching for an Oracle Application Developer for our team in Neenah, WI. This is a newly created entry level IT application development role responsible for working closely with our team of IT Analysts and business users. The Oracle Application Developer will support daily business activities by designing, developing and implementing solutions within our existing Oracle applications.The position is a member of a diverse support team reporting to the Senior Manager of Application Development and Support.  Strong partnership and customer satisfaction is a key measurement of success for this position. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with driving optimization of business processes to gain the most value from Neenah’s technology base. Identify and drive further automation to improve efficiency where justified. Responsible for the effective use of business processes and the adoption of new technology to support the same processes.
  • Actively participate in company information technology projects and carry out assigned tasks under the direction of a more experienced analyst in a timely, diligent, and professional manner
  • Exhibit a strong partnership with the NPI (Neenah Paper) business community and ensure that Enterprise IT strategic and tactical directions are aligned with the objectives of the company and are business justified. Communicates regularly with internal customers.
  • Assist with the support of the production Oracle EBS system in addition to the analysis, development, deployment of customizations and extensions to the Oracle EBS.
  • Maintain effectiveness under high-pressure situations in order to meet expectations while managing projects and daily support simultaneously. Excel in problem solving abilities while providing timely solutions to issues and designs.
  • Contribute to meetings with internal business clients. Work with the system analysts to ensure the requests have adequate information for the software development cycle.
  • Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills. Exhibit the ability to analyze, test, implement, and provide post support for projects that improve our current systems.
  • Effectively work with Oracle, CenturyLink and other 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and maintain our Oracle environments.
  • Promote a strong team environment within IT and across business functions and departments. Provide knowledge transfer to other staff members both in IT and within the business community.
  • Provide development support for all Oracle applications, including but not limited to Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Reports, Business Intelligence and other 3rd party applications.
  • Ensure procedures, and practices in my support area are followed by Neenah Paper and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize strong written and oral communication skills to design and document solutions for projects and systems that can be easily followed by others. Demonstrate the ability to communicate appropriately and professionally while staying customer focused.
  • Take action to enhance proficiency in technical aspects of my role through ongoing training, education, and networking.
  • Demonstrate leadership by recommending enhancements and new software projects that support Neenah Paper goals and objectives. Provide optimal support for existing applications and implementation of new applications by utilizing available resources in the most effective way.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 2+ years of professional experience
  • Demonstrates proficiency in technology associated with business applications
  • Partners with Information Technology Senior Analysts and business functions to gain business knowledge and translates business requirements into system designs or solutions
  • Support and develop business solutions and reports using existing tools
  • Provide day-to-day support for business to identify, troubleshoot and resolve system issues
  • A desire to learn and take on new challenges and opportunities within the business
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Background and solid familiarity with development skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Shell, XML
  • Oracle E-Business Suite knowledge is a plus
